Long Residence Renovation
The renovation of the interior of the Long residence was part of a larger renovation for the entire exterior of the home. The overall goal of this project was to create a space that was elevated, elegant, and had some of the contemporary elements that our clients love, but still maintained a relationship to the rustic surroundings of their community.
At first, the terms contemporary and rustic might seem at odds with each other, but through careful material selection and exemplary space planning, we were able to create a kitchen that is both gracious in volume, but also functional and elegant. Bespoke lighting and a crafted feature wall of mother of pearl provide moments of drama and delight.
The primary bathroom also received an overhaul. The original materials were dated, and the floor plan did not take advantage of the real estate available for the space. Now the room boasts a spectacular shower that features unique materials that are rarely used in this application. The overall effect is elegant, spa like, and elevated.
