Kadampa Meditation Center, Denver

Kadampa Meditation Center Colorado is a spiritual community, a sanctuary in the city in which we can learn to practice Kadampa Buddhist meditations and use wisdom to solve daily problems, grow spiritually and transform our world.KMC CO presents Buddha’s teachings in an authentic and accessible manner that can easily be integrated into busy modern life. Our task as designers was to transform a space that had previously been an auto care center, a chocolate factory, and a day spa into a multi purpose space that will accomodate classes, a bookstore and a residential area. Overcoming the obstacles that differing occupancies within one space presented allowed Juniper Road Studios to plan strategically but required us to always keep in mind the higher purpose of this building, that it is a space for the community, by the community. Construction will commence late Spring of 2022 with completion targeted for late Fall.
